Payments Optimization & Risk Manager (E-commerce) - Vilnius (Hybrid)
About the Role
At Cohypes, we grow and scale multiple brands in the health, beauty, and wellness space. We don't just build brands; we build operational systems that allow those brands to scale globally with speed and precision. As we continue to expand across the USA, UK, Europe, and Amazon marketplaces, we’re looking for a highly organized operations leader who is excited to take ownership of our global inventory and fulfillment ecosystem.
We believe great work happens when people feel valued. Here, your perspective matters, your ideas are welcome, and your voice has a real impact on how we grow. You’ll join a supportive team that encourages collaboration, open communication, and genuine trust.
About Us
We're looking for a Payments Optimization & Risk Manager to own the payments function across our e-commerce hub - a portfolio of DTC brands. You'll be the central owner of everything payments-related: acceptance rates, fraud and dispute management, PSP relationships, and payment platform health. This is a hands-on operational role split evenly between proactive optimization work (reporting, testing, PSP/account management) and reactive risk work (disputes, chargebacks, claims), with the goal of maximizing approval rates and minimizing loss from fraud and disputes across every brand.
You'll be the main point of contact for all things payments - internally for brand and ops teams, and externally with our payment providers.
Responsibilities
- Own our payment platforms end-to-end: QA, reporting, documentation, and ongoing analysis
- Act as the main point of contact for all payment-related questions across the business
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on payment flows, configurations, and provider setups per brand
- Own payment structure setup for new brands: PSP integration, business verification, and onboarding
- Ensure new brands are fully configured and tested before launch
- Evaluate and test new payment providers/PSPs, developing a strategy for when and how to bring them into the stack
- Run structured analysis to compare provider performance (fees, approval rates, support quality)
- Continuously track and test payment performance across all brands
- Identify and act on opportunities to improve acceptance/authorization rates (e.g. routing, retry logic, checkout configuration)
- Monitor fraud rates and tune fraud rules/filters to balance approval rates against fraud exposure
- Own end-to-end response to disputes, claims, and chargebacks across all PSPs (Stripe, PayPal, etc.)
- Compile evidence and submit representments within provider deadlines
- Track dispute reason codes and translate patterns into recommendations for checkout, policy, or CS process changes
- Monitor account health against PSP risk thresholds (e.g. dispute ratios, VAMP/SAFE-type programs) and flag risk early
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on core payment KPIs
- Present account health and performance trends to leadership and relevant sta
KPIs you’ll own:
- Acceptance / authorization rate
- Fraud rate
- Processing fees (effective rate across providers)
- PSP account health (standing, reserve/risk status, program thresholds)
- Dispute / chargeback rate
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a payments, risk, or fraud role, ideally within e-commerce or DTC
- Hands-on experience managing payment service providers (e.g. Stripe, PayPal, or similar), including disputes and chargeback representment
- Strong analytical skills — comfortable building and maintaining KPI trackers and pulling insights from payment/transaction data
- Familiarity with fraud prevention tools, 3DS, and PSP risk programs (e.g. dispute ratio thresholds, monitoring programs)
- Experience onboarding new merchant accounts/payment integrations
- Excellent written communication for representment evidence, documentation, and cross-team collaboration
- Comfortable owning a role independently, balancing reactive (disputes) and proactive (optimization) work day to day
- Experience working across multiple brands or accounts simultaneously is a plus
